Welcome to Giant Tiger's Charitable Giving Application.

We aim to do the greatest good possible, for the greatest number of people, in Giant Tiger communities.

Note: during December 1st, 2011 and January 29th, 2012 we were experiencing some technical issues with our online application process and some applications may not have been received. If you applied during the above timeframe we welcome you to re-apply by February 28th, 2012 to ensure we got your application. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Application process:

The deadline for submission each year is January 31^st.
All applications must be submitted online through this website. Any applications received by mail, fax or email will not be considered in the selection process.
The annual selection process will be completed by the end of April at which time all charities will be notified.
All charitable funds will be issued the first week of August.
Please do not email or phone during the selection process, as we will be unable to give you an answer on the status of your application.

Eligibility guidelines:

Please read the following carefully before applying to ensure that your charity is a match for our business.

Request is over $2,000 (If this is a request for sponsorship of a local event please go to Sponsorship Request Form)
Applicants must be charitable organizations recognized by Revenue Canada as a registered charity.
The charity must be in operation for no less than 5 years prior to application date.
Families, children and/or youth are the primary beneficiaries of the program.
Applicants must demonstrate financial responsibility; charities seeking deficit financing will not be considered.
Charities selected are required to be accountable and report the use of proceeds.
You are requesting support for a specific program.

The following are not eligible for funding:

Private clubs;
Religious organizations;
Political parties or advocacy groups;
Individuals;
Private schools;
Charities located outside Canada;
Research projects.
Multi-year donation requests.
Third party fundraising
