Grocery Data Support Associate - Ottawa, Ontario

The Grocery Data Support position is an ideal position for you to apply your 2-3 years experience in retail. You will assist stores, vendors and buyers within inquiry resolution relating to various issues such as Return Sheets, Ad events and Purchase Orders for the grocery department. Your ability to work with and analyze reports combined with your recent experience in Microsoft Excel will allow you to manage Sku database, create, update and analyze information in order to provide support to our stores. Interacting with all levels of the organization will come with ease to you as you have strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently. Your strong customer service skills will allow you to address consumer complaints in a manner that is conducive to making Giant Tiger a banner the consumers will entrust their family purchase with confidence.
Job Highlights
- Responsible for all issues with regards to AS400 applications, including all SKU maintenance, in order to support our Buying Teams and Stores
- Investigate all Sku’s with negative on-hands
- Log all customer and store inquiries submitted to the Buying Help Desk
Job Requirements
- 2-3 years of Retail experience (store level or Home Office)
- Experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) with an ability to learn new applications, experience with AS400 an asset
- Ability to communicate both verbally and written effectively with all levels within the company and with external sources
- Detail oriented, analytical and self motivated
- Ability to multi-task and problem solve
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of J-Walk applications an asset
- Bilingual (English and French) an asset
