Human Resources Administrative Assistant - Ottawa, Ontario

Reporting to the Director of Store Human Resources, you will be responsible for all programs related to employment standards, conditions of employment and non-contractual benefits. You will also be responsible for the co-ordination of recruitment, particularly for new stores and the administration of all store compensation programs. This generalist position offers a diverse array of responsibilities and is ideal for those individuals who enjoy taking on a variety of tasks. Your organizational skills and ability to prioritize will allow you to accomplish challenging projects in a fast-paced environment.

Job Highlights

  • Ensure Human Resources policies and procedures are based on minimum employment standards within each province
  • Manage the Careers website and related job posting requirements
  • Co-ordinate all aspects of new store recruitment
  • Administer Compensation programs for all stores (bonus and salaries)
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly payroll plans and other analysis projects
  • Oversee the associate recognition program for all stores
  • Organize material and location for training activities

Job Requirements

  • Previous Human Resources experience in a private sector industry
  • Bilingual (English and French) with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated computer skills in the Microsoft Suite XP (Word/Excel/Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Post Secondary education in a Human Resources related field an asset
