Fashion Merchandise Associate - Montréal, Québec

This is an ideal opportunity to apply your 2-3 years experience as a buyer’s assistant in a fashion retail industry. Your outstanding analytical skills and your ability to work under tight deadlines with changing priorities will enable you to prepare, run, analyze sales report and recommend appropriate actions, conduct regular reviews and focus on item planning. Your strong Microsoft Excel skill will allow you to manage data and inventory levels accurately and efficiently. Maintaining a positive relationship with the buying team, stores and vendors will come with ease to you as you have excellent communication skills.
Job Highlights
- Prepare and run sales reports
- Analyze sales reports and recommend appropriate actions
- Conduct regular category reviews and focus on item planning and display
- Enter data – sku, purchase orders, markdowns
- Maintain office files
- Answer general inquiries from vendors and store managers
- Maintain positive relationship with buying, planning, vendors, warehouse and stores
- Provide other administrative assistance to buyer
Job Requirements
- Post-secondary education in Fashion Design, Fashion Marketing or Fashion Buying, or experience as an Assistant Buyer for a fashion retailer or as an allocator or distributor
- Outstanding analytical skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines with changing priorities
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills
- Strong multi-tasking abilities
- Fundamental understanding of retail and business math concepts
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with JDA or similar software such as AS400 an asset
